How It Works
Double Up Footy is not your average tipping competition. Every round you make a choice — play it safe, or go for glory.
01 Entry & Competitions
Choose one, two or all three competitions to enter. Bundle and save:
Your entry is not confirmed until payment is received. Tips do not count until payment is complete.
Late entrants are welcome but start on 0 points — no backdating of results.
02 Each Round — Choose Your Option
Standard Tips
Tip every game in the round.
- ✓1 point for each correct tip
- ✓Tip all games correctly and earn a 100 point bonus
- ✗Wrong tips earn nothing
- =Drawn game — 0 points for that game (neither team wins)
The Double Up
One game. Admin picks it. You decide if you're brave enough.
- ✓Correct tip — your total doubles
- ✗Wrong tip — back to zero
- =Drawn game — points unchanged, DU not counted
03 Double Up Rules
The Double Up is powerful — but it comes with conditions:
- ✗You cannot use the Double Up in Round 1
- ✗You cannot use the Double Up when your score is 0 — if a failed Double Up resets you to zero, you must use Option A to rebuild your score before doubling again
- ⚠️You must use the Double Up at least 5 times during the season
- →There is no limit to how many times you can use it beyond the minimum
- →The Double Up game is chosen by Admin each round — you won't always know who's playing until it's revealed
04 Tipping Rules
- →Tipping is one round at a time
- →Tip all games for the weekend prior to the start of the round
- →Tip selections for all games close off at the start of each round
- →Cut off time is the scheduled start time of the first game
05 Prizes
90% of all entry fees go to the prize pool. 10% covers admin costs. Prizes are paid per competition:
06 Tiebreaker — Double Up Footy
If two or more tipsters finish on equal points, the tiebreaker is:
Fewest Double Ups used wins.
The more conservative tipster is rewarded. If still tied, the prize is split equally.
07 Last Man Standing — NFL
Last Man Standing is a separate NFL competition running alongside the regular tipping season. It's high risk, high reward — one wrong pick and you're out.
- →Pick one NFL team to win each week
- →Each team can only be picked once per half (Weeks 1–9, then Weeks 10+)
- ✓Your team wins — you survive to next week
- ✗Your team loses — your Save is used (if available), or you are eliminated
- 🛡️Each player gets one Save for the entire season — it burns automatically on your first losing pick
- →Miss a week without picking — treated as a loss
- ↺Teams reset at Week 10 — all 32 teams become available again
- 🏆Last player standing wins the prize pool
